1. To enter the event, you must be 18 or older with a current and valid State or Federal ID.
2. While the hotel and some convention spaces do allow alcohol, no alcohol is allowed in classroom or play spaces. Additionally, you must be 21 years or older to purchase alcohol from the hotel. Any violations of this rule will result in immediate expulsion and a permanent ban from the event.
2a. Alcohol may only be consumed when purchased from the hotel and consumed in their approved containers.
3. Bash Across Texas ("BAT") REQUIRES all individuals to be in control of their faculties while at the event regardless of space, time, or date. BAT additionally PROHIBITS any form of illegal substances (including all varieties of cannabis products). Any misuse of any substances that alter your ability to control your faculties can result in ejection from the event.
4. Bash Across Texas ("BAT") REQUIRES CONSENT FOR ALL FORMS OF CONTACT. You must receive enthusiastic and clearly expressed consent before engaging in any play or act. You must receive permission prior to touching any person(s) or physical property. "No" is a complete sentence and you may not ask/bargain again. No explanation is necessary.
4a. If someone's property is inhibiting play or posing a threat to the health and safety of others, seek convention volunteers for assistance.
5. Bash Across Texas ("BAT") PROHIBITS recordings of any kind within any space of the event including but not limited to event floor, vendor areas, social areas, party spaces, or classrooms.
6. Bash Across Texas ("BAT") PROHIBITS firearms, including replicas, airsoft/nerf, or fake items resembling Firearms.
7. Bash Across Texas (“BAT”) prohibits hate speech and the use of hate based imagery, language, or iconography. Educational discussion of sensitive or discriminatory material may be permitted when relevant to approved class content, but approval does not extend to discriminatory conduct or unrestricted use of hate-based material.
7a. All orientations, gender identities, and expressions are welcome. Please be respectful and avoid making assumptions about anyone’s orientation, identity, or expression.
7b. If you are found in violation of this rule, it will result in permanent banishment from all Bash Across Texas events.
8. Classes and discussions are meant to be welcoming learning spaces. Attendees must engage with instructors and fellow participants in a respectful way. If you disagree with something, express it calmly and constructively. Production Team may intervene or remove individuals who disrupt the learning environment.
9. Bash Across Texas ("BAT") may work with third party entities for spaces including, but not limited to, socials, discussions, and play spaces. These entities may have additional or supplemented rules for such spaces. By attending events in those spaces, you thereby agree that you have read and agreed to the rules for that space.
10. Bash Across Texas ("BAT") reserves the right to refuse service and/or revoke attendance if found to be violating our policies, procedures, or rules.
11. By agreeing to these rules and participating in any Bash Across Texas Event, you confirm that you are not under any state or Federal supervision (probation, parole, and/or on a sexual registry).
